Established Expertise
Chris and Aster Sadler are the 6th generation Distillers, who have played integral roles in the development of Cygnet 22, The World's Most Luxurious Gin.
The Sadlers commenced working with Katherine and Andrew to develop the highly-awarded Cygnet 22 that delivers exceptional flavour complexity, silky-smooth mouthfeel and luxurious lingering finish.
Through developing a unique blends of the finest botanicals with a meticulous distillation process, Cygnet is a pioneering, luxury brand awarded for its exceptional gin collection.
Chris & Aster Sadler
As six-generation descendant of the famous Sadler family, heralded for its craft brewing and distillation, Chris’ lineage inspired him to restart his historic family business, Sadler’s Brewing Co, in 2004. Chris met Aster and they joined forces to take Sadler’s from a 10-barrel operation to a 90-barrel facility producing over half a million pints a month.
Following this The Sadlers established their own sustainable distillation business, flexing their combined entrepreneurial spirit.

When Katherine and Andrew started their Cygnet journey the importance of producing a spirit that balanced luxury and sustainability was paramount.
With 150 years’ of family experience, The Sadlers had expertise in distilling, combined with a passion for sustainability (having founded their own wholly sustainable spirits brand in 2019), proving to be the ideal team to realise Katherine and Andrew's vision, distilling the exceptional spirit for Cygnet.
Our Distillation
At Cygnet we use a Faraday still (a single copper-pot) for the distillation of both Cygnet 22 and Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin at the historic Copperworks Distillery in Swansea.
The entire process is meticulously managed by hand and results in the exceptional complex liquid profiles that Cygnet is celebrated for.
