Cygnet Gin Cocktail Competition winners announced

In November, Cygnet partnered with Bristol Syrup Company and Artisan Drinks to host a cocktail competition and industry night at Armada House in Bristol.

Expert bartenders and mixologists from fabulous cocktail bars such as Blame Gloria, The Cocktail Club, Milk Thistle Bristol, Wellhead Bristol, the Hilton and Filthy XIII attended the event to show off their skills and compete against the best in the industry.

The evening began with award-winning television producer Andy Clarke providing his services as a judge. The evening was also supplied with snacks from Pubby’s and cans of CBD drinks from Mola Drinks, plus welcome tonics from Cygnet and The Artisan Drinks Company. This was all enjoyed with an accompanying DJ performance.

The evening was held at Armada House, a stunning events venue in Bristol City Centre. The venue is a gorgeous 19th century building, which has been recently refurbished and its original period features set a stunning scene for the event.

A huge congratulations is in order for the overall winner, Erica Bemand from Tonight Josephine, who came first place with her beautiful cocktail, the Flower Burst, with a great recipe featuring Cygnet 22:

  • 45ml Cygnet 22 gin
  • 15ml pomegranate liqueur
  • 15ml raspberry shrub syrup
  • 10ml noilly pratt
  • 25ml acid adjusted coconut water
  • 1 dash chocolate bitters
  • 1 dash grapefruit bitters
  • Martini glass
  • Garnish
  • Dehydrated grapefruit coin
  • Grapefruit sherbet pearls

 

Erica’s prize was a bottle of Cygnet 22 Gin signed by Katherine and an all-expenses-paid Cocktail Tour of Bristol.

Cygnet’s new Brand Ambassador, James came second.
