Rosemary Gin & Tonic

A favourite of the Cygnet team, the Cygnet Welsh Dry Rosemary Gin and Tonic serves a refreshing flavour profile, combining the complex botanicals of Cygnet Welsh Dry with the earthy and aromatic essence of fresh rosemary.

Ingredients for Two Servings

  • 60ml Cygnet Welsh Dry
  • 30ml rosemary simply syrup
  • 55ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 120ml tonic water
  • Garnish: lime wheel, fresh rosemary sprig

Method

  1. Fill two glasses with ice cubes.
  2. Pour 30ml of Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin and 15ml of rosemary simple syrup over the ice in each glass.
  3. Add 120ml of tonic water to the glass, depending on your preference for the strength of the drink.
  4. Take a fresh rosemary sprig and lightly crush it between your fingers to release its oils and aroma.
  5. Place the rosemary sprig in the glass, allowing it to infuse its flavour into the drink.
  6. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.
  7. Optionally, garnish the drink with a lime wedge for an extra citrusy touch.
  8. Serve and enjoy.

Rosemary Simple Syrup

  • 236ml of water
  • 200grams of granulated sugar
  • 4 fresh rosemary sprigs
  1. Bring the water and sugar to a gentle boil in a small saucepan. Reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Remove from the heat, add the fresh rosemary, and set aside to cool for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the syrup into a clean glass jar. Cover tightly and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
