The Welsh Mule

The Welsh Mule is a refreshing and zesty twist on the classic Moscow Mule, substituting vodka with Cygnet Gin for a botanical kick.

Ingredients for Two Servings

  • 60ml gin
  • 15ml fresh lime juice
  • Ginger beer
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Fresh mint sprig for garnish
  • Optional: Cucumber or fresh ginger.


  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with 60ml of Cygnet Dry Welsh Gin, ice, and fresh lime juice.
  2. Shake the contents until well mixed.
  3. Add ice to two copper mugs or highball glasses, and strain the cocktail shaker evenly.
  4. Top the mugs up with ginger beer, leaving some space at the top.
  5. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge and a fresh mint sprig for a burst of aroma.
  7. Optionally, you can also add a slice of cucumber or a few slices of fresh ginger for additional flavour.

The Welsh Mule serves a delightful combination of flavours, with the botanical notes of the Cygnet Gin complementing the spicy ginger beer and the tangy lime juice.
